Unraveling the Web

In the smoke-filled, cliche-soaked backrooms of Noble, where secrets flow like overpriced cocktails at a charity gala, our detectives are up to their necks in conspiracy.

Tommy Trueman’s death?

Yeah, sure, it’s an “accident” — and if you believe that, I’ve got a Ponzi scheme tailor made for you.

Case closed, right? Not for our intrepid sleuths, who can smell a cover-up faster than you can say “who’s got the classified documents”.

The Rapisoul Revelation

As the detectives sit down for what they thought would be a routine interrogation with Lady Fuchsia, they notice something odd. The room seems to blur for just a second as if Lady Fuchsia shifted in her seat impossibly fast. But they shrug it off as a trick of the light—until it happens again.

It’s then that Lady Fuchsia, realizing she’s been caught, drops the bombshell: both she and Jimmy are Rapisouls, beings capable of moving at a thousand feet per second for short bursts of time.

“It’s not something I go around advertising,” Lady Fuchsia says with a nervous laugh, her voice tinged with an uncharacteristic hint of fear. “But when you’re in our line of work, it can be…useful.”

The detectives exchange glances. Useful? More like the ultimate resource that’s more incriminating than a Tinder bio that just says “I can explain.”

But Lady Fuchsia isn’t done dropping truth bombs. She leans in, voice lowered, like she’s about to share the secret recipe for Coca-Cola. “There’s something else… Tommy didn’t just have bad luck. Felicity helped him along.”

Cue record scratch. Felicity “MoneyBags” Greedworth, the queen of glitzy fundraisers and charitable tax write-offs, involved in a murder plot?

You’d sooner believe she knitted socks for kittens. But as Lady Fuchsia laid out the details— Felicity’s quiet manipulations to see if Tommy would bite—the pieces began to fall into place.

The Detectives’ Dilemma

Yet, even with this new lead, the detectives hit a wall. Felicity’s public persona is cleaner than a politician’s internet history during election season. It will be nearly impossible to pin anything on her without concrete evidence.

But our heroes aren’t about to let a little thing like a closed case stop them. They now have a suspect who’s not just hiding secrets—she’s swimming in them.

“We’re going to need more than just the word of a known assassin,” Leo mutters as they leave the interrogation room. “We’re going to need a mountain of evidence against Felicity that makes Everest look like a speed bump.”

“And maybe a video of her mid-murder, a crowd of witnesses, and a confession broadcasted during halftime at the Super Bowl.” Jane added

“So in other words the typical Tuesday.” Leo observed.

“Exactly, we got this!” Jane shrugged.

“Would it be too cliche of me to say we have less than 48 hours?” Leo asked

“Not if I added, it’s not over until we say it’s over.” Jane smiled

The game is on, and with every new piece of the puzzle, the detectives realize they’re dealing with something far bigger than just another fake news accidental death.

It’s a tangled web of lies, deceit, and abilities that defy the laws of nature itself. And the most dangerous player in this game is still out there, hiding behind a mask of wealth and respectability.
