5 Must-Watch NASCAR Drivers at COTA – Gridiron Gracie vs. Jack Maverick’s Wild Debate!

By Gridiron Gracie & Jack Maverick

GRIDIRON GRACIE:

“Jack, I know you love chaos, but NASCAR isn’t a fantasy football draft– whether it’s my kind of football or your so-called real football. It’s about drivers with skill, consistency, and, you know, actually finishing the race.”

JACK MAVERICK:

“Oh, here we go. The ‘consistency’ speech. Meanwhile, I’m out here picking drivers who aren’t afraid to shake things up. You wanna be safe, I wanna be right!”

1. Tyler Reddick – The Pole Position Powerhouse

Gracie: “Starting from pole at Circuit of the Americas is a huge advantage, and Reddick knows how to capitalize. He won here before and is one of the best road course drivers in the series.”

Jack: “Yeah, yeah, but starting on pole doesn’t mean you win. Ever heard of drivers using race strategy, Gracie? I bet someone takes Reddick out in the first 20 laps.”

2. Shane Van Gisbergen – The Wild Card Threat

Jack: “SVG is a beast on street circuits. He won his NASCAR debut in Chicago and starts sixth at COTA. He’s got that ‘drive it like you stole it’ drivers mentality.”

Gracie: “He’s a talented driver, but NASCAR Cup cars aren’t V8 Supercars. This isn’t Australia, Jack.”

Jack: “Right, because learning new things is bad? This guy could win on a unicycle.”

Gracie: “And I bet you’d pick him to win even if he did.”

Jack: “Of course! SVG doesn’t need pit stops—he just intimidates the tires into lasting longer.”

3. Chase Elliott – The Road Course King

Gracie: “Elliott has the best record on road courses, period. He starts third and is always a threat at COTA. You can’t ignore his ability.”

Jack: “I’m not ignoring him—I’m just saying he’s not winning. He’s good, but I don’t see that fire this season.”

Gracie: “Oh, so now you’re a mind reader? Maybe I should start calling you ‘Psychic Maverick.’”

Jack: “It’s not mind reading, it’s gut instinct, Gracie. And my gut says Elliott isn’t taking the checkered flag this time.”

4. Connor Zilisch – The Rookie with Nothing to Lose

Jack: “Listen, this kid just won the Xfinity race and starts 14th in his Cup debut. You don’t think he’s gonna make some noise? This is the definition of a bold pick, and I love it.”

Gracie: “Love it all you want, but Cup racing isn’t Xfinity. He might have raw talent, but experience matters.”

Jack: “Yeah? Tell that to every rookie who ever stunned the field. Zilisch is coming, and you better believe it.”

Gracie: “Look, I like a good underdog story too, but you’re acting like this is a Hollywood movie. He’s fast, but there’s a difference between being fast and being race-smart.”

Jack: “Race-smart? That’s just another way of saying ‘afraid to take risks.’ The great ones don’t wait for permission, they just go for it.”

Gracie: “And sometimes they wreck in turn one.”

5. Kyle Larson – The Ultimate Closer

Gracie: “Larson starts seventh and is one of the most well-rounded road racers in the field. If this turns into a fuel mileage game, watch him steal it late.”

Jack: “Okay, I’ll give you this one. But if he doesn’t win, I’m going to remind you for the rest of the season.”

Gracie: “And if he does win, I’m making you wear a ‘Gracie Knows Best’ shirt for a week.”

Jack: “Deal. But if one of my guys wins, you have to say, ‘Jack Maverick is the King of Bold Picks’ on air. Loud and clear.”

Gracie: “Fine. Get ready to eat those words, Maverick.”

Drivers Final Verdict – Who Wins at COTA?

Gracie: “Reddick, Elliott, and Larson—smart, calculated picks who know how to close.”

Jack: “SVG, Zilisch, and a whole lot of chaos. See you at the finish line, Gracie!”
